Asturias Bakery established the year of 2006 in the city of Houston, Texas. It was founded by Gustavo Liquitay a master baker with a previous track record of 20 years in the bakery industry. Asturias Bakery established the year of 2006 in the city of Houston, Texas. It was founded by Gustavo Liquitay a master baker with a previous track record of 20 years in the bakery industry. Gustavo migrated to the United States with the idea of fulfilling his American dream; which was to share a little bit of the authentic Argentine flavor by sharing some of our baked goods. Master baker was later inspired to achieve his ultimate goal in life to create his own brand. In which, the idea of “La Cuyana” was born the year of 2017.
This idea promptly started to come to life as the construction of the factory and search of equipment for the making of tapa de empanada / empanada discs began. Now our goal and responsibility is to bring a fresh product to the community of Houston, Texas and other states across the U.S. The products available as of now are turnover shells puff pastry discs, creole or frying discs; these products are sold by retail or wholesale bases depending on each of our customer’s needs.
Thanks to all the people who collaborated and helped bring this beautiful project to life. Also want to give thanks to all of those who supported my dream, including my friends and family, my daughters Sofia and Antonella Liquitay, as well as the employees and customers a sincere Thank you to all!

All you have to do if you chose to pick-up at our

All you have to do if you chose to pick-up at our physical store location is to open an account at our online store and send us a request. We will soon after be in contact with you to confirm your order and set up a pick-up time.
